COVID-19 / Coronavirus Update:

The Striders Multisports Club Inc is following guidance from the Ministry of Health with regards to the Coronavirus situation.  In line with the Prime Minister’s announcement of Level 3 on 23 March, and Level 4 to be applied on 25 March, this club and its associated activities will cease until further notice.

Pre-Season Training – October 6th!

October 6th, 7.00am sharp start, Opito Bay.

Briefing 6.45am at Opito Bay.
Short Course option, 300mtr swim, 13km ride, 5km run.
Long Course, 900mtr swim, 30km ride, 8.5km run.

You can participate as individuals or teams of two or three.

Bill Miles is going to be a ‘designated’ swimmer, meaning that if you, or your team, doesn’t have a swimmer you can use Bill’s time. He will be swimming both the 300m and the 900m.

If you are keen to enter but can only do one discipline then email Bill and he will try to match you up. For instance, you may be a runner but not a cyclist in which case Bill will endeavour to find a cyclist to join you.

Te Houtaewa Challenge

The 90 Mile Beach Race takes place on Saturday 16th March.  The course is down the 90 Mile Beach from the Bluff.  It is as ideal race on flat hard sand.

There is a range of distances – 6km, 21km, 42km and 60km.  Several Striders will be taking part.
