Kerikeri Striders Kayak Schedule 2022
18th September 2022 – 13.00hrs
After an extended winter break it’s time to dust off the spray skirts and get ready for a summer of kayaking adventures. As a warm-up for the season we’re planning on a gentle paddle from Opito Bay on Sunday 18th either over to Moturoa or down the Inlet depending on the weather/people’s appetite.
Meet on the beach by the public toilets ready to be on the water at 1pm. Probably a couple of hours kayaking with a stopover somewhere (good idea to bring drink/flask and a munchie bar)
As always, all are welcome, please message or text 021 849958 if you are planning on coming along in case plans change.
Here is the group schedule for 2022. Meet time is 12 midday. Paddles in the water 12.30. Aim to be back between 4pm and 5pm. Everyone is welcome (pass the word around 🙂 ) If anyone would like to give it a go, but is unsure of their ability/what kayak is best, we are doing quick trial outings. Andy and Sue have a collection of kayaks you can try out and we always enjoy taking newbies out for a paddle, just email: andy_dowdle@hotmail.com or text 021-849958 and we’ll arrange a time.
